Kymenlaakso is a coastal and river region in south-eastern Finland, where activities range from coastal cities to the Kymijoki rapids. The Eastern Gulf of Finland, the Kymijoki river and Repovesi National Park create a setting for year-round Kymenlaakso activities.
The regional centre Kotka provides coastal city activities, while the surrounding region adds Kymijoki rapids, Kouvola nature destinations and the cliffs of Repovesi.

Repovesi National Park, the Eastern Gulf of Finland National Park, Langinkoski and Valkmusa National Park are the region's best-known nature sites.
In winter, the area leans on indoor venues: Maritime Centre Vellamo, the Maretarium and the spa in Kotka serve visitors. The Mielakka ski resort in Kouvola serves families. Repovesi is also usable in winter.
The regional centre Kotka highlights Maritime Centre Vellamo, the Maretarium and Sapokka Water Garden. Kouvola offers Tykkimäki Amusement Park, nearby Repovesi sites and the Verla mill UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hamina and Pyhtää round out the coastal offering.
